Joan Braun is used to treating upset tummies, bandaging scraped knees, and comforting children in her role as the school nurse in Milford, CT. But this summer, she’ll be caring for a very different group of patients – Ukrainians living with the trauma of war, cut off from access to doctors, nurses, and life-saving medications.
